Some photos. The Detonators hold their monthly breakfast meets & annual barbeque party at "the Secret Café", which sits on top of the hill at Oxleas Meadow, Shooters Hill. You drive into a typical London suburban street, down a narrow track between the houses & suddenly you're in the country, a lush green meadow sweeping off into the distance right to the horizon. A really cool venue.

The detonators are a trad' hotrod club, but while their cars are classic American, the accents are most definitely Sarf Lunnon. Don't mess with the ladies on the gate.

Well, maybe not all of them. Love this event's cool, laid back atmosphere. Warm sunshine, kids playing in the meadow, the smell of barbeque, the rumble of an occasional newcomer pulling in through the gateway, sitting in the shade of a tree with a cold drink, listening to the tunes & just watching the World go by. Nice. Very nice.

Not sure the handbrake on that roadster would pass BIVA.

Nope, I don't quite know why either. A genuine Cessna light aircraft kitted out as a camper van. The engine bay was a barbeque. No idea how he negotiates the London suburbs with this combo, but I watched it drive out at the end of the day.
