 For those that are interested, here are a few snaps I took at the Revival.
 With Battle of Britain Day (15th Sept) only days after the Revival, there were more-than-usual historic aircraft at the event, with various displays each day featuring Spitfires and Hurricanes.

 Close fought and exciting motorcycle race action (mainly Manx Nortons with a couple of G50s and BMWs). Many of the riders are current riders (TT, BSB etc) along with some from 'yesteryear'. |

 Minis heading into Lavant corner, where four wheel drifting is order of the day. Note the roof of the early Land Rover breakdown vehicle in the foreground.
 All the competitor vehicles are pre1966 (1966 is when the circuit closed), and the breakdown/recovery vehicles are of the same era. The only 'modern' stuff belongs to the emergency services.
 The pace car is Ferrari, course car is a GT40, support cars include Jags and a Rolls (naturally!)

 AC Cobras, E-Types, Aston Martin DB5s all giving it large.
 The Cobras were so fast that inside front wheel was lifting up to around 4" on the fast corners (now that ain't slow is it!!)

 One of characteristics of the Revival is that the spectators, along with drivers, riders and mechanics, 'dress for the occasion'. It may sound a bit naff, but it really works.Even the food vending vans etc are pre '66, including Airstreams and Derek Drinkwater's "Dual" lorry food wagon, which we visited for our Sat & Sun brekkie.
 
 The wining drivers can be seen in a cloth cap receiving a cigar, mechanics in white overalls with collar and tie underneath, and spectators in all sorts of costumes from the 30's to the 60's (including a lot of military variants).
 
 Here's a bunch of spectators enjoying the day. The grass in the background is the runway, so the these lads have a cracking viewing point for the take offs and landings on the Spitfires etc, along with really close view of the racing as the track is only around 10 - 15 yards away. The grass their standing on is around 4 - 5 feet up from the track-level grass, level with the top of the tyre wall, which means a clear and close view of the action, lotsa close-by engine noise, and the smell of period fuels and oils........... ahhhhhhhh, bliss................

 The start of the race for Grand Prix and Voiturette cars of the type that raced between 1930 and 1950. The field were mainly Alfa Romeos, Maseratis, ERAs (English Racing Automobiles) and Frazer Nashes. Some of these cars ran a very exotic fuel blend (for the straight-six supercharged motor), if only they made an aftershave that smelt the same................. Watching these cars drift and spinning the rear wheels exiting corners, plus hearing the motors screaming on full-chat, then changing up using a pre-selector gearbox, brilliant!!    |

 Spectators can get some great vantage points around the circuit.
 This the Richmond and Gordon race for 2.5 Litre Grand Prix cars raced between 1954 and 1960 and included Lotus and Cooper Climax, Maserati 250Fs, BRM Type 25s and Connuaghts (which were built in Send/Ripley, near Woking)
