Hi all, as requested by "Mendalot" pictures of my trike(if they load up ok). Its a ural wolf 750, as you can see a flat twin ohv. Four speed box with reverse. they have also been sold under other names, cossack, neval, soviet knight, and various others . Not breathtaking power but enough not to be a slouch, bought it with a view as a stopgap until something better came along but im really pleased with it, so its staying. since the photos i've got rid of white stripe on tank and fitted braided fuel lines and chrome/glass filters. Any other questions Just ask. Cheers Phil......

Very nice. That's a tidy, BMW type engine -is the gearbox integral or separate? I'm thinking it'd make a lovely little Manky style single seater trike.

Hi All, it's set up pretty much as a car, gearbox bolts directly to rear of engine with dry clutch plate / pressure plate set up attached to engine flywheel. There's A ring gear on flywheel for car type starter motor, also sideways moving kick starter. No syncromesh !!! need to time changes right to avoid a grind but soon get use to that. Drive shaft exits on r/h side rear of gearbox as original bikes were shaft driven. When in neutral pull in clutch, push lever behind right footrest down and hey presto reverse. It is typical Russian, no frills , strong ,simple, easy to repair / service. Drive-train originally designed for military bikes which often had sidecars on them, some even had the option of the sidecar wheel being driven if the terrain got tough. Not all bikes have reverse and only the newer ones have electric start. Thanks for the interest, if you want more engine/gearbox pics let me know. Phil

Yeah, I like it a lot , have had a affliction with russian machinery ever since my dad got christened a "commy" for buying a belarus tractor in "1975" when everyone else was using British tractors. I then had a 125 "neval" field bike. True to most russian stuff, not fancy or complicated ,easy to repair. Best of all I like my flat twin trike, I suppose I just like to be different !
