Transferring the loom across the gap, Ive got roughly 12 cables, thinking I'll just leave a slack loop .Whats the norm for a bike? Never looked before!

A slack loop is about right  Smiley
Best not to make it too slack though. Generally I put electrics on one side of frame and control cables on the other. If you wire it up with the forks on full lock to the opposite side of the wires and add just a bit extra you should be fine. Remember not to tape the wires too tightly or they will become stiff. A length of push bike inner tube instead is a good way of protecting the wires from rubbing on the frame or tank.

Thanks. I used pb inner tube when I did the existing slack loop set up.At least I was on the right track!
