He gets everywhere doesn't he!
That's Chris, ("Forgotten" here on the forum), in the black T & shades by the way.

I didn't realise there were that many Portafold caravans left! Were you guys in the same club or did you all turn up independently? Janie used to have one of the ones with the fins on the roof. Were they an early or late model?
So a good weekend then Chris?

See, I knew it was some one I should have known. Yeh, there's a few left. There's a web site for them and they organise a national gathering once a year, there were 48 there (think that might be some sort of a record). The ones with fins (early) are Portafolds and the plain roof ones (late) are Ansfolds.
As for a good weekend? Not so good 'cos of the weather. Yesterday was pretty good.

So your restored one's an Ansfold? Were they a British company? I love 'em. Quirkily stylish!

No, it's a Portafold (it has fins). Yep, British company operating out of Fareham.

I don't remember fins on yours! Was there a standard interior for them? I doubt many are as salubriously appointed as yours Chris.

Standard interior was a very hard wearing material used for the cushion covers, usually an orange colour and the wall covering was a diamond pleated welded vinyl material normally in gold. We don't have any wall covering and the original seat covers had to go, they were pretty well worn out!!
