Now I think I'm doing OK with this computer thingy, I've almost stopped talking to it when it plays me up, and I'm getting there. Where, I have no idea. This picture resize thing is the major hurdle in my life at present, I have this super software that near on is idiot proof but not coppersmith proof. when I bring it down to the resize I get a matchbox size picture, about as much good as my wife with a plasma cutter! I have tried several versions of software but all to no avail, so, my question is, is it the camera? It takes pictures at 5.0 megapixels, I see I can bring it down to 1.8. If I try what I see you guys do 600x480 it still hits me with file to big. So before I planish this computer can someone help, my son has left home for a pretty girl and he used to sort all this stuff.

Shouldn't matter what size the picture is originally taken at because you are resizing to a set size. Do you have windows picture manager? (seems to be the easiest for me) When you resize are you remembering to save changes before exiting?

I have no problem with changing pictures to any size I want (experience!) - but this site still tells me they are too big! Given up trying to post them here now.

Strange! Never had any problems that weren't my own fault. I usually go down to about 100 to 120 kb

I use photorazor free to download so simple to use just pop in the pics from a folder and set the size you want and it pops them into a separate folder within the original one the default setting for the size is 600 and this easily puts 2 pics on a manky page 450 will put 3 but I wouldn't go any lower as this may lose clarity

Sorry! I apologise for the Mankiness of the forum! I reduce mine in Photoshop to 600 x 600, same as Kevsky.
