hi have always been a triker but am now looking towards hot rods but would like something that could be a daily driver as well but need something to carry family. im sure i read at some point on here that Kapri had a 2.5di powered one is there a build thread or link any suggestions of ready made chassis and bolt on style body. any help greatly recieved

You could transplant a diesel engine into anything. Depends on your budget. Scottie the hotrod haulier has a 40s Chevy sedan with a diesel taxi cab engine in it.

American cars are always gonna be expensive, but there's lots of interesting Brit stuff out there. Maybe something like a mark 2 Consul? Cool looking cars, with big bench seats front & back. Bung a diesel engine in & it'd be a good useable daily driver.

Do you want a diesel for some specific reason ? There's some good economical but powerful 4 pots out there at sensible prices . 40+ to the gallon from a 2 litre , all self contained ,no need to adapt electronics as will run on standard ECU and only takes 3 wires to get it to run .Look at DOHC 8 valve Sierras and Granadas , manual or auto are both good.

have had a couple of pinto powered trikes before and they were very good engines and easy tuning. was just looking at the diesel route for economy but looking at it if hot rod is light the economy will be good as well.
