Mr & Mrs Brock are bringing their race truck, which has an awning on the side, so we won't have the annual gazebo wrestling session this year. Decided not to bother with vehicle information cards this time cos half of them don't get filled in anyway. So it's just a matter of arriving & parking up -& Mr Newbie's been volunteered as parking captain, cos he's always there first.
All vehicles have to be onsite by 10.00 ish. So somewhere between 8 & 9 would do it.

I've been WHAT !? Shocked
I plan to be there about 8:30, though if it's chucking it down, might be a bit later.

CANCEL OR CARRY ON?

We have problems people.

Had a call from my brother, Mr Brock, this afternoon. Unfortunately he & his good lady Lesley won't be able to make it, which means we won't have a freshly built dragster to show off -but more importantly, means we won't have the use of his race truck either, with it's awning, seating & kettle.

The Met Office forcast for Sunday is a 78% chance of rain, with wind.

My own truck ain't gonna make it either.

So, worst case scenario- we spend the day stood in the rain, with nowhere to shelter, with a reduced dispaly. Hardly the end of the World I know, but as it's a group thing, it's down to you guys to decide if we go anyway, or give it a miss this year. Opinions please?

I'll give it a miss then hope to catch up at the Hot Rod Drags in September then.

I'll take Scarlett to Sparkford instead.

I'll post pictures of the Tot rod soon.

Bbc wearher says it should be dry by about 10-11.
I have a pop up gazebo (with side panels) I can bring along. Its only 3x3m but its offers some shelter. Also have a small butane burner for the kettle.

I vote for still go.
If the group choice is to miss it this year then i'll probably do a trip to Hayling.

O.K guys. I'll check in again later in the day, but unless you hear differently, we're still going.
The postcode for your SatNavs is  RG21 4AG  but there are already yellow "TransporT festival" signs out on the Basingstoke ringroad.
My mobile number is 07952-509223. Give me a shout when you get near the gate & I'll nip up with a vehicle pass for you. I'll aim to be there for about 8.30 -9.00 We don't have much to set up this year, so it's just a matter of parking pretty. The show officially runs from 11 - 4. See you tomorrow.
