trike battery
«

I recently came across a vw trike with a battery more like a bike than a car one. what do you think the smallest battery I could get away with on a 1600 beetle trike. Batteries are always pig ugly and I am trying to get away with as small as I can. I have look at bike batteries but they don't seem to show their cold crank....
Any ideas or experience would be appreciated

I've used motorcycle batteries designed for 850cc bikes on my last couple of 850cc Reliant trikes. Worked fine as long as the trike was in regular use. If it was left for 2 or 3 weeks, it'd need a jump start to get it running again. Standard Reliant car batteries are about halfway between normal car sized & bike sized ones.
