I have  an uncle with a vw trike that was minus the tin ware, it was alright whilst driving along, but over heated at traffic lights. Also the same in traffic jams,or slow moving traffic.

One of my friends has run one since 1979 like that . As above doesn't like sitting in traffic .However I'd be tempted to use the high performance small (100mm) computer fans ,which bung out around 100cfm, via cooling ducts to solve that problem?

thanks guys, i was expecting a straight NO,  but lets face it they do look better without all the tinware,,, chrome tinware is hardly an option for me either as i live on the isle of skye scotland, so theres plenty salt air up here,

Do you get many traffic jams up on Skye?
Nothing wrong with chromed tin ware, as long as you get it done properly and not buy the ready chromed rubbish.
Kapri's idea of ducted fans is a good one though.
