I'm looking to get hold of some cleaning solution for aluminium (for carbs and the like), to remove general grime and oxidation for use in an ultrasonic bath.
Have looked at ebay and Maplins.

Anyone had any experience doing this sort of cleaning that could recommend suppliers etc for the liquid?
Ideally looking for a concentrated solution which will be diluted for use.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.  Wink

Ideally not with the best china. Oil well afterwards or they go white and powdery (& don't let HER know or she'll moan for days). Roll Eyes

bung em in the dish washer -  a tad difficult as I don't have a dishwasher!! but do have an ultrasonic bath.

Had already gone down the search engine route, and yep, loads of info, but I'd really like recommendations as advertising just ain't quite the same as someone's first hand experience.

This is what I use in my ultrasonic tank, does a cracking job on breaking down the gum build up in the brass jets. Its strange, some of the carburettor bodies come out looking like brand spanking new, but others don't, they are clean but just don't shine. I use about 3% solution mix.
If you want some of this and cant buy it direct, let me know and I will get you some on my next order and send it to you.
