Hi all. As some of you know i now live in Malta & have brought the Charger out with me. Its the only 68 Charger here, there is also a 69 D O H here. I have bought most of a Daytona body kit for it (not doing the back window) + im leaving the 68 lights. I have only ever dreamt of owning 2 cars, 1st being a Charger, 2nd a winged car. I cant afford a real winged car so im building my own version. It will be the 1st ever winged car over here. The Charger has already made a good impresion but the Dayclona should knock everyone sideways. Im off to Holland on the 19th Feb to pick up the kit + a few other bits. Will try and post picks as it gets done.

Back in the UK until tomorrow. Had a good time visiting the guys in Holland and seeing my Daytona kit. Also bought a pair of Ally heads, rear springs, + some other parts. Bought a bunch of parts in the UK as well. Will be like Xmas when they all arrive.

The Dayclona kit + the other parts have arrived from Holland. We are moving real soon (see other post) so the car work will have to wait a bit longer.

Andy. The only bit i didnt buy was the rear window plug. The bits i did buy= rear wing. Nose cone, inc flip up light units, Radiator air tunnel (fits inside nose cone). Lower front panel. 2 Steel front wings (70 Charger).  Steel bonnet (70 Charger). 2 air vents (go on top of front wings). Nose cone to radiator filler panel. Its going to be a 1968 winged car, im leaving the 68 rear lights & side marker lights. Also bought ally heads, uprated rear springs & uprated bushes & shackles + a few other bits.

Andy, the rear window was flush with the roof. Not inset as a Charger. Lots of work to convert, been told its the hardest part of a clone conversion. The Daytona also had a shorter boot lid so it would open under the wing.

Ahh, I thought all the ones I'd seen had rear glass. So will it get built this Summer Dave?
Nice to see you finally giving the ol' girl a bit of a makeover!

Not sure of a finish time now. Got to re-build Sally's transmision. Put the race car engine together...... Might fit the ally heads, rear springs ETC to the Charger & get some use out of it before the conversion.

It led a pretty hard life over here - I don't think I ever saw it when you weren't layin' rubber somewhere. Nice to know it's enjoying a well earnt retirement in the sun & being pampered a bit.  Smiley
