Having been working with me on my hotrod for the last couple of years, the Loon's just got himself a Hot Roderick of his very own -& jolly nice it is too. One of Rover's finest -a 1947 P2, 4 door saloon. Bought from "Oje", (Owen James), a local rod builder, it's a complete body on it's original chassis. Looks to be in pretty good condition. Lots of potential there. It was sat on a trailer in Newbury, Berkshire about 15 miles from Loony's workshop. Unfortunately the trailer wasn't road worthy, so a Transit pick-up was borrowed & we arrived there this afternoon with enough muscle power to physically lift the whole ensemble into the back.

A slow drive back to the 'shop, a bit of lifting & shuffling & it was safely sat on a wheeled dolly in the yard. Time for a bit of a think. Mr Loon's already formulating plans. Should make a very cool rod.

One of these motors, in there. Rover V8, the same as Chris has in his Moggy & I have in my Pop. Marcus already has one sat in the 'shop. A Rover in a Rover. Makes sense.

He's got the bonnet sides, including the latches, but not the bonnet top or grille. Got a possibility of an original Rover grille shell though. It's also got some of the side windows & all the winders & door latches, plus the handbrake & a few odds & ends.

Nice one Marcus Looks to be quite solid. Another reason for me to hang around your workshop. Someone selling 36 p2 12 HP bonnet tops on ebay at the moment though I suspect you know that already
