Too early.  Couldn't get the kinks out of my bod soon enough to get on the road in time to get there.  Ironically, some of the kinks got there while cleaning the trike for the show, in a wind that was chillier than I thought - now it looks great (well, better) and no-one will see it!

Hope you all have a great time!

A great day out. Thanks MM for organising and Brock for the shelter, under which I stayed dry, till it was time to leave and of course, all who were able attend

Hi guys.
O.K, I'll order extra sunshine for next year. It stayed dry for most of the day, before finally starting to drizzle around 2.30 -3.0.clock. That ain't bad -we've had years when it's absolutely bucketted down all day & nobody's come. I chatted to one of the organisers at lunchtime & he said as far as they were concerned, overcast is better than scorching sunshine. If it's too hot, the punters all bugger off to the coast for the day. They say there were more cars there than ever this year & there was certainly a varied mix. You'd be hard pressed to walk around the 2 showfields & not find something to interest you. Over 900 vehicles, everything from scooters to steam lorries. Not bad for a free show.
After all the talk of insurance details, we were waved straight through the gate as always -"Manky Monkeys? Scruffy lot, over there in the corner". Although Dave was one of the first onsite, we were still the last club stand to get all our vehicles, banners etc sorted out before the general public started drifting in. We really must get organised. Maybe next year.
Special thanks to Nathan, (Galaxie 500), by the way for the catering. I did my best & ate as much cake as I could, honest. Also to Lesley & Steve, (BlackPig & Brock), for providing the awning -& putting it up all by themselves in less time than it normally takes us to unload Loony's out of the van.
Great to see so many of you lot & I really appreciate you all making the effort. Thank you. I did try to chat to everyone, but if I missed you, I hope you had a good day & got home safely. We always say it, but we do have the coolest vehicles on our pitch & every one of them had a steady stream of admirers all day. People like the weird stuff!
I usually end up trapped, chatting, all day & miss most of the show, but managed to escape for a while today for a quick walk around, so grabbed a few snapshots.
Thanks again to all who made it a success. Well done everyone.
Same time next year?

Nathan, (blue jacket in the centre), with his Ford Galaxie 500.

Ash's truck arriving with Chris's V8 Moggy Minor on the top deck & my V8 Ford Pop underneath, looking like some crazy 50s banger racing team!

BlackPig & Brock's small block Chevy slingshot dragster, next to Tom's XS650 Yamaha bobber.
The dragster's just been sold, with a brand new motor fitted, (Steve always keeps his engine & fits it in the next car he builds). Being shown before delivery to the new owner. He sent a photo to the buyer, who was chuffed to bits it got so much attention at the show.

Chris's split screen Morris Minor. Got very mixed reactions from the punters -which is exactly what he was hoping for. I overheard one woman saying With a lot of work, you could restore that.  Cheesy
