Congratulations mate. Perhaps you'd like to invest your new found wealth in Taz's Charger restoration fund? Or the Buy Manky a workshop in the South of France fund?

Nowhere near enough in the payout for those I`m afraid Andy. We were hoping to get enough to get us completely out of debt and get a new toy. As it is had to drop the amount for the toy and the rest to pay off some of the worst debts, should save us about £300 a month in outgoings and make things a lot easier for us here in Cabby Towers. Great news Cabby, dropping 300 a month can only be good even if less than expected, should give some light at the end of the tunnel Smiley

Talking of south of France Andy, have you had a look at property prices in France? Changed my mind on retirement, sod the narrow boat, saw a 17 room/12 bedroom old orphanage near Limousin and its going for £43000. and it has cellar and garage under it, built in the 70's. Smallest room is 15mtrs square. Best start learing French like I have been meaning to for the last 40 odd years Smiley

A couple of friends of mine retired and bought a chateau in france, turned it into a B&B type of thing. Sold a  three bedroom terraced house in southend, and a bike and still had enough left over from the chatea to buy a roller and a london cab and not have to worr if they have no bookings for a year or two!!!!!

Someone I went to school with`s daughter and her boyfriend (bloody hippies) bought an old stone barn and some outhouses in the Dordoinnes (think that`s how you spell it) for 12,000 quid. Planned to live in their camper while making the barn habitable. They got the deeds and legal stuff through from their french brief and in the pack was about 12 photographs. They showed the views around the barn 360 degrees.Scenes of old run down apple orchards and meadows and the like. They called the brief and asked if there was a reason he`d sent the pics to them and were stunned when he told them "but that`s the property you`ve bought 17 acres of meadow land and orchards, plus the barn and the outbuildings).

I`ve spent the past two days clearing crap out and sorting a space for the new "Toy". Put the tens machine on turned up the juice and away I went. Had to have a break every half hour but still better than the ten minutes then collapse without the tens machine.

All finished tonight and all the crap I`m keeping is in a space a third of the size that it took up before.

Rang the bankd today and the cheque will definitely be cleared in the morning.................yyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Road trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
