The day started chilly, but spring was definitely in the air as you could smell the flowers as you road along (was nice 'n' early and not a lot of other traffic helped too!). Round to Dslam's and then to Ardingly, about a 50 mile ride, and into the show ground.
Have been to a couple of these before, and went mainly for the jumble. have to say a disappointing event compared with the one a year or so ago (maybe that just happened to be a particularly good one!?!?). Did manage to bump into a handful of friends, one of whom cooks the burgers at the Vincent Owners BBQ on the day of the Pioneer Run, so we got invited to that..... (sometimes its who you know..)
Best thing about the show was the really tasty sausage bap from Derek's mobile catering establishment http://www.drinkwaters.co/ , boy was it good! In fact we reckoned we couldn't remember ever having one so good..........
Few pics to show some of the things there.
Took the picturesque ride back and stopped at Newlands for an ice cream, and bumped into a pal I hadn't seen for around 20 years.
Overall not a bad day...........

Lovely XS Tony. I called at Mr Dslam's house this morning & at Newlands Corner on my way home this evening, so a shame I missed you guys. I know we're biased cos he's a mate, but Derek is indeed a top burgerologist.
