I suspect you'll be the only one not in a car Bobbi.
We arrange this trip to repay all those that generously contribute to the ape adoption, but seems the ones that give their pennies, are never available to go.

Manky
Biker Gran
Clive + 1
Triker Pete, Chrissie & Emma
Jay Jay & Chevy Rick
Archie & Mrs Archie

You don't have to stay together -all we have to do is go through the gate as a group, then you're free to spend the day however you want. The ticket's there, so it'd be a shame not to use it.

Looks like we'll have plenty of spare spaces Bobbi.
I think we met at 11 last year.

O.K guys, last bump up the Events list for this one.
I'll email/PM my mobile number to those on the list before the day, but let's say meet in the carpark of MonkeyWorld, ready to go in at 11am, this Sunday morning, (the 29th).
All we have to do is go through the gate as a group, to use the multiple ticket, then you're free to spend the day as you like & leave whenever you're ready. It's a shame we can never raise more people for this, but the offer's there if you want it. I've actually just been asked by a mate if he can bring his kids along cos they've never been.
See you on Sunday morning guys.

My grandkids can't come, and I'm not that keen on monkeys, so I may just come along to say hello in the car park.......

Seriously thinking of postponing this guys.
The weather's forcast to be pretty dire for the rest of the week & no Monkey enjoys being out in the rain, Manky or otherwise.
Seems a shame to blow the 30 people ticket if we can only raise half a dozen. Might be more sensible to wait till later in the year this time?

O.K Bobbi. Executive decision time.
I think we should give it a miss.
The weather's not good up here in Surrey -brilliant sunshine one minute, then torrential rain the next. I'm assuming it's the same down your way in Dorset. We've had several major roads shut due to flooding & trees down in other areas. Not so much April showers, as April storms.
No-one wants to be out in that all day, certainly not the apes we were going to see, (as a Postie, I've spent the last week trudging the streets in the pouring rain & it ain't no fun).
It's a shame we can't raise more people for this trip as it's the generosity of the forumers that provide it, but it's really not worth it for just a couple of us.
I'll email those on the list & get Taz to contact them on FaceBook too, just to make sure.
The group entry ticket's valid until the 24th of October '12, so hopefully we can re-arrange the visit later in the year.

Thanks to all those who support our continuing adoption of Micky the chimpanzee. MonkeyWorld appreciates it as much as we do.  Smiley

Cheers Andy/Taz for the heads up. Probably for the best as there isn't a great deal of shelter there. I am looking forward to a new date preferably one not in a school holiday!
Here's to some sunshine, JJ  Smiley
