Agree with Al about the swing arm, one suggestion though, if you're keeping the old axle tubes I'd reinforce the areas the u bolts clamp on.
those tubes are really thin walled for an axle (about 2.5mm) and easily crushed. Mine were bent slightly so i replace with thick wall cds.

i do see where your coming from on the axle tubes, the only prob i see with reinforcing the area around the ubolts is that if i was to weld in some reinforcement i also risk distorting the tubes they seem to bend very easily when welding to and its a question if there 2.5 thick in places i do shy away from welding to reliant axle tubes in any form the only way if i was worrying to much about this is to make new tubes from scratch.

Zak if you get some tube, that will sleeve over the axle tubes cut a piece 2"to 3" wide like a big end shell,
place it where the u-bolt will sit, tack it to the axle on the four corners then clamp on that.

i would probably risk that hunter, but iv been thinking since this morning that reinforcing this area really would not benefit me because the u bolts are not that tight they would crush the tubes, because i mount the frame on vulcanised rubber and use the same on the radias of the ubolts, so when the ubolt are tightened theres no steel to steel at the mounting points, and because of the rubber tightening the ubolts to the point that the rubber is not full compressed is tight enough and because i use nylocks on the ubolts the nuts to date have never worked loose Smiley
