I remember having my 1st one, had op about 3pm one day and they had me up on my feet next morning Shocked
Get used to sleeping on your back for a while.

glad it all went ok kev hope your back up n running again soon... i had bone taken from my hip to fuse my wrist with as my scaphoid is still in tenbry wells somwhere Tongue  they expected me to get back on my feet after a good sleep and go home, it took me the best part of an hour to get from the hospital bed every time i moved it felt like i was being repeatedly stabbed with a knife, in all a painfull one. after 7 opps already and the longest being 13hours they wonder why i dont really want to go back again. its even made me scared of the dentist, im f**king sick of being stabbed all over Sad

hi Pete,yes mate your right it hurts a bit Cheesy i was determent when i went in that i wanted to have a full anaesthetic i dint want to feel them puling me bones about but the anesthetist ( a yank) convinced me to have the needle in the spine what a weared sensation it was when i came round ther was like a nowhere land between me waist and me feet strange....think the worse thing is havin to wear them stockings for deep vain,i dont mind wearing stockings at the week ends.... but they had to go will make sure i keep moving and i have  them injections you have to put in your stomach so should be OK yes am having to sleep on me back at the moment,it was great to be home and get some sleep last night. cheers mate

hi Luke sounds like you have been throug the mill your self mate, im lucky thats it for me just the one opp and touch wood it can only improve the probs i had with the hip, i think i will be back on the trike before im back behinde 4 wheels  Grin.....cheers mate

you take care and you'll soon be mended. hahaha i remember the stockings but its for health reasons not pleasure Wink
i also had the needle in spine to block pain of operation but it was weird being able to hear the electric saw when they sawed off the hip ball and the knocking of the hammer when they drove the joint into my leg bone Shocked Shocked
take care, keep doing the exercises to build up your leg muscles Cool
