if i have q plated cx trike and want to register it with reliant engine instead am i likely to hit any problems paperwork dvla wise ??

I would think you would just notify the change same as any other change to a vehicle.

i think if you are saying you are thinking of replacing the cx engine with a reliant engine on the cx then you would need to notify dvla of the change,dvla then may request a engineers report from a garage to say the engine had been fitted corectly, if you say the work as been done by your self then they may request a dvla inspection at your local dvla office once it is established it is fitted corectly the the log book will be amended showing the changes, zak

Now I may be wrong but I reckon with a Q plate you just need to send changed engine number and cubic capacity. Fuel type if that changes as well

it should just be a matter of sending in change of capacity and new numbers to swansea it seems to be easier to alter something on a Q than something with an age related plate
