Never ever had any dealings with Bond Bug parts I'm afraid Mr D. I'm sure someone here will have the info, but in the meantime, got any pics of it?

My understanding is that the Bug and Pig axles are the same, which is why you sometimes come across Robin axles with "3 hole fixing backplates", check the o/a length, back plate to backplate, the Robin is 46.25 inches. As for ratio, just lock one half shaft and count the turns, pinion to other halfshaft, Robin is 3.23:1, C.W=42T,& Pinion=13T, Morrag

Thanks dudes, the thing is the same as the 3 piece pig axle with the axle tubes bolted to the casing ,had a reply from the reliant site to , the ratio is 3.55: 1 in case anyone else finds one

bit more info , the backplates with the three holes are from rear drums of a mini and so are the brakes themselves, the two plugs on the diff are for oil level and for draining, there is a little brass breather on the top , which has the same function as the one on other reliant axles , also serves as a "this way up " clue , else oil is gonna piss out the bottom! will put a pic or 2 up if anyone is interested?

But if it's being used with a bike engine you may have to use it upside down (as with mine) so as not to have 6 reverse gears and one forward!

That would of course depend on the direction of rotation of the particular 'bike engine to be used, Morrag
