LPG Conversion on the cheap

I am considering runing my Austin Devon on LPG, This car i am building as a daily drive.  So economy measures put in place on assembly were my first thoughts here, i planed om making a small 2 or three gallon petrol tank and fit that with its neck same place as the devons and get a lpg tank to fit beside it in the area below the boot floor same place as the original tank.
   I have never converted a car properly to run on lpg i did over 15 years ago have a suzuki jeep i fitted a cat forklift vaporizer and other bits and  bobs like fitting an electric fuel pump rather than the mechanical etc etc and it did run on a normal forklift cylinder in the back.
   Now i know that insurers etc are far more demanding now on lpg fitment and probably regs exist i am sure, but a vaporizer is a vaporizer and on a simple mgb engine with no ecu turbo etc a simple conversion must be a possibility.
  Now my beam products vaporizer was rated at 60hp and worked ok on the 1300 suzuki. but i sold it long ago and not sure what would be my cheapest route to a used kit of parts for this conversion. I obviously will look on ebay but any advice technically that may help me get a conversion kit together and fitted in the proper most effective way would be very helpful.
  I plan on getting the car tested at a lpg instalers in yorkshire but want to get what i can and instal it myself. HELP!

Kapri might be the man to talk to. He's fitted several LPG/petrol conversions & I think is running his classic Econoline pick-up on purely LPG.

Funnyly (is that a proper word) enough I was fitting LPG systems (2or3 a week) 10 years ago, that's when I first moved into my shop in Hook.

 I will end up trawling ebay for one, and as fr a workshop in HOOK? that must be in Hampshire bot the Hook very close to me near goole east yorkshire am i corect think i have heard hook in Hampshire

Don't see why not. You'll have to make some arrangement to cut the fuel at the carb so it doesn' run on both. there was some sort of valve I think, but it's years since I did a carb one. I'll see what I can find in the archive!!
