Title: Car sidecar Post by: Manky Monkey on August 09, 2009, 10:21:36 PM Emailed to me by Bitzman:
Dubbed “Snaefell,” the 1000cc Laverda motorcycle has three exhausts, and its sidecar offers a luxury ride in comparison to regular sidecars. The designer has employed different parts of a Kawasaki 1000RX and a number of cars to accomplish the motorcycle sidecar, which took 10 years and nearly 15,000 Euros to combine biking and luxury car ride in a single vehicle. Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: Manky Monkey on August 30, 2009, 07:42:41 PM 15,000 Euros -or roughly 13,198 quid.
Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: BikerGran on August 30, 2009, 08:21:16 PM If you could buy it for that I reckon it would be cheap!
But if that's what it cost to build - the whole is more than the sum of the parts! Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: Manky Monkey on August 30, 2009, 09:49:55 PM Very true Bobbi. Given the amount of development work that must've gone into it, 13 grand's cheap.

Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: nabsim on August 31, 2009, 08:46:44 AM whats the point, why not just get a car You obviously have never learned the joys of outfits :) Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: Manky Monkey on August 31, 2009, 09:03:15 AM Because you can Tony.
What do they say -if I have to explain, you wouldn't understand. Mind you, they also say Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Personally I like it. The workmanship's superb & I like the overall shape. If I had to take the wife & kid out for the day I'd rather take this than a family saloon. Mind you, I haven't got a wife or kid so don't have to make that choice. Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: ROD on August 31, 2009, 04:07:43 PM Personally,I like it a lot. Theres a lot of work in that. But like it or loathe it,you gotta admire the detailing .

Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: Simple Simon on September 03, 2009, 07:35:29 PM whats the point, why not just get a car Some people say that about Trikes. ;) I have never ridden an outfit (even though I once had a sidecar for my Wing, never got around to fitting it), but really like the idea. :) Horses for courses thats what I say ;D Title: Re: Car sidecar Post by: renegade53 on September 04, 2009, 12:44:23 PM looks nowt like the aerial combo me late dad used to have about 45 years ago. i remember sitting in it and pretending i was driving a car. if he'd had one of these then i really would of thought i was in a car.
