Terry T popped up to see me today witha little project that needed welding.

He designed and made the parts to stick a Weber carb on his goldwing trike.

All Alunmium box tube and plate so I had a go at tigging em up!

He made a really great and accurate wooden jig to allow me to tack em together and then weld weld weld weld weld.

Bit awkward in places and I could have really done with a larger tungsten (used a 2.4 but a 3.2 would have been better)

Anyhow Terry was happy with the result.

So we did a a couple more!  Grin

update on single carb conversion.
i have decided to shelve the idear for the time being as i need to sort the jetting out.
so i re checked the originale carbs out. cleaned the sliders made a template and checked the float levels.
now i had done these just before i took them of set up with a steel rule.with this template they were about 2mm out  Huh. so reset them and put the carbs back together. will take the weber of over the weekend and refit the goldwing stock carbs.
i just want to ride it and not keep sorting things out.plus the garage is getting a bit full with another project for the winter
