Had the whole family on the edge of our seats watching this one.........TOP MAN!!!! and have to agree the old Rocket 3 sounded awesome!!! Did make me wonder why they didn't put the experienced wall of death rider on it though, as surely he is more accustomed to the 'G' forces so could probably get a bit more speed out of it!

Saturday 2nd April 2016 - Channel 4, 5.30pm - Speed with Guy Martin - Pikes Peak. This a repeat from series 2 - where Guy with home-made bike, van & mate or two, takes on the infamous Pike's Peak hillclimb in the US of A. To say it's a little different to a UK hillclimb is a bit of an understatement............ Pike's Peak (first used for competition in 1916) used to be loose surface, but over the years more and more was tarmacked until the whole of the 12 odd miles is now 'pavement'. The start is at about 9400ft and the finish just over 14,100ft (which reduces engine power by around 30% for normally aspirated vehicles) and each competitor has to negotiate 156 turns, which is a lot of remembering!! If you haven't seen this, I reckon its well worth a watch, just keep an eye out for the drops at the side of the course!! http://www.ppihc.com/

The Hairy Bikers' Pubs That Built Britain. A series starting on BBC2 on Monday 18th April 2016 at 18.30 (running mon-fri, poss the following week too). Premise of the show according to the Radio Times - "Pubs are full of stories so sharing a pint with a local historian can turn up informative snippets from history" As Si King remarked "It's a dirty job but somebody's got to do it" http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b078cqrp

Sun 30th October - 11.10pm - Rush - The movie about the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, directed by Ron Howard.
If you watch closely at the end of the film when they're at an airfield, its Blackbushe (where the drag racing used to take place)
