Nice scenery anyway Bobbi.

Yup that was it!   When you think about it, it was never going to be the fantastic thing it was touted as - there were about 40 planes taking part, flying 10 different routes.  If my maths is correct that could mean a maximum of 4 planes on each route.

The way it was reported in the new wasn't factual either "the formations were seen from (can't remember all the places named) and Weymouth" - well our single plane was heading for Weymouth.  Hey ho.

Sunday 8th Oct from 7pm on the Travel Channel, African Motorcycle Diaries.

As Spanners pointed out in next message: It's 8th NOV, not October  Roll Eyes

http://www.travelchannel.co.uk/shows/african-motorcycle-diares

From their website:

Spencer Conway adventure motorcyclist takes on the biggest challenge of his life. Unsupported he circumnavigates Africa on his motorcycle through 34 countries, covering a staggering 55,345 km. This monumental undertaking tests Spencer's physical endurance, challenges his determination and commitment and ultimately puts his life at risk. Without a support vehicle or team, Spencer's low budget, light-weight approach means he is forced to sleep rough, eat when and what he can when the opportunity arises and navigate by only a rough map and local knowledge.

He hasn't put some bicycle wheels and some elastic  Shocked on it has he, because that would spoil it for me.  Sad

But if he hasn't, I'll watch that on Catch Up TV.  Cheesy

I see Billy Gibbons, (front man of ZZ Top & big hotrod fan), & Jimmy Shine, (big name in American hotrod building), are doing a reality show together on Discovery. Sounds like the usual fake drama, can they get it finished in time, sort of thing, but might be worth a watch.
