Right its been twelve months now (this isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things Mrs. wayne has been waiting for a new back gate for 3 years now) the Guzzi trike is as finished as it's going to get until the winter,so its time to have a look at Wotsit again.
She is stripped (again) and her frame is away for blasting so that all the dodgy welding can be rectified
After my mighty cg 125 being nicked for the second time and Wotsit's yammy engine refusing to produce a spark I have decided to fit the honda engine with its direct lighting and not needing indicators I recon I'll get away with a small burglar alarm battery just to make sure the horn works properly

Lookin' good. Those mini mechanics are great aren't they. They almost fit in the toolbox.  Cheesy

Bless her.
She is genuinely really enthusiastic  and does try hard,it took her 20 minutes to undo a single exhaust nut but she is only 5  and she managed to make her old dad really proud

Grin Wish I'd learnt at that age. My Dad was a fantastic carpenter & general builder, but not interested in mechanical stuff at all. I've picked up what little I know from various mates & from making lots of mistakes! Catch 'em while they're young & still got their curiosity.

I find it odd,we have given my boy(14) every opportunity ,dragged him to the lock up bought him tools tried to get him interested but to no avail.
Then my eldest girl(7) came along, not a prayer if its not pink or fluffy she doesn't want to know
The youngest(5) really tries,
I honestly think a lot is nature over nurture.

Yeah, my big brother Steve, (Brock), is just as interested in things mechanical as me, (though, annoyingly, much better than me). His interest probably encouraged mine. I think it's a shared urge to be creative. We just happen to have chosen metal as our canvas.

Being a frame of questionable ancestry I don't feel too guilty about this but I chopped the back end off
being mono shock the rear of the frame is only there so we have somewhere to put the seat
This will be replaced with a new piece set at a jaunty angle so that the arse end is up in the air a little
Ordering a cafe racer style seat next week so that the rear end can be started on
Pics to follow
