I know most of the events on here are car one these days - but is anyone going to this?  It's this weekend and if you're going I might see you there!

We try not to be biased in any direction Bobbi -it just happens that Taz & I haven't got a bike or trike on the road at the moment & are both working on car projects, so we tend to be socialising more with the car crowd at the moment. I'm waiting on the use of a jig to build the hardtail for my chop, then will be doing bike shows again.
If anyone goes to a vehicle event of any sort, please take a camera along & send us in some piccies. Our photo galleries are off-line at the moment, but will hopefully be back soon & we'll add any you have.

Sorry, I didn't really take any photos, the event isn't what it was.  It seems to have outgrown itself, it's not really a 'bike' rally any more, neither is it associated with the regatta.  Many large tents with no bikes, a number of them inhabited by people I'd rather not be camping with.  Had two of my tent pegs nicked the first night.  Tents much too close together with no alleyways - I was stuck there from Thurs to Sunday as there was no way to get the trike out!  And the bike show which used to be in the village square was in a very small space on the field so a lot of peoiple just didn't bother (or couldn't get their bikes out!).

Never mind, I was there for the best years and I won't have to say 'can't do that, it's Calstock weekend' next year.

That's a shame Bobbi.
I feel the same about the Bulldog Bash, which is on this weekend I think. I attended regularly, (& camped!), during what I think were it's best years. All shows seem to have a limited life span, before they go into decline & somewhere else becomes the place to be. Onwards & upwards!

Calstock is still a lovely place and I intend to go back there some time when the rally isn't on - definitely worth a visit if anyone is down that way.
