up the barn today working on the Pop when I decided to have a brew, sitting looking at all the piles of crap spares I have accumulated over the years and with the thoughts of a Reliant engined Bobbery thingy swirling through my mind I took the old Ural frame I have sitting there and introduced it to Mr Angry the grinder, take a pair of 30's girder forks, Francis Barnet tank and an old RD 250 front wheel and we have the start of something  Grin Grin Grin Grin this will sit and wait for the Pop to be finished but I will gather parts for it as and when they turn up.
I hope to have a low, stumpy rigid bike with a classic look when its finished.

yup the Enfield girder is great  Grin Grin Grin and I think the RD front wheel and fattish tyre looks good as well.

Only did the mock up really as the visibility got too bad to see what I was up to in the barn, I musn't move forward with this until the Pop and Panther trike are done  Grin Grin

Yes I would use it on the front of my heap. If you can't find a wheel down your end, try Nidgey Batfink.
He is up in the wilds of Yorkshire though.

Yep engine is Reliant but I'm mating a Ural gearbox to it so the gear change won't be an issue  Wink Wink can't make up my mid if I want to go rigid as first planned or use the Urals rear frame section, modified of course and have a swing arm  Huh Huh
When its built I plan to use it as a hack so maybe rigid isn't such a good idea  Huh Huh but then again Bobcat is bloody comfortable and she is rigid  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Undecided Undecided Undecided

I'd go for a rigid. Would be easier to build, and look the the part as well.
