Sometime last week , my wife asked me if I knew of a blacksmith? cos a friend of hers needed something made.
So, I told her to send them round, thinking if it was just a bit of welding I might be able to help them. Well she and her husband turned up at my workshop on Tuesday with an old shutter hinge. It tuned out that they needed 6 pairs and they couldn't find anything like them anywhere!
So off we trolled to one of my barns and leaning up against the wall were half a dozen old wooden shutters that I had "Rescued" from one of my weekly trips to the Tip

As luck would have it the hinges on them were an exact match to the one they brought with them. So I gave the chap a spanner and said here you go mate help yourself.

"Now" les, the bloke is "well" a bloke so naturally we started to talk motobikes
He then proceded to tell me that when he bought his place there was an old bike in the barn and the vendor said he could have it

Unfortunatly when he completed on the house the bike was no longer there
He was able to retrieve most of it back though, but no frame or tank!

This afternoon my wife and I went over to look at their place and ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I came home with this

The union & management have agreed, no more strikes till after Christmas at the earliest. Little bit of a backlog, but most things seem to be getting through more or less on time. "Kustom Garage"? Not heard of that one.

Surely Brit Chopper's the coolest?! Shaun should back you up on that one, seeing as he part owns it.
I keep buying magazines & never getting round to reading them. Got the new Back Street Heroes here, plus the Back Street Heroes special edition, plus the latest Rebel Rodz. Not even opened the covers on any of them yet.

Kustom (they've dropped the Garage bit) is a real cool mag that covers pretty much everything machine wise from Hotrods to Bobbers to VW's all in a very cool style but it does help if you can read French  Grin Grin looking forward to it Paul, next best is Powerglide which is of a similar vein to Kustom, again French (can you see a theme here  Wink) BC is good but again I'm biased there  Cool Cool Cool

Latest BSH does have a couple of cool bikes in it but.... but then again I'm very VERY critical of bike styles at the moment, The Harbour Town Bobber is bloody nice though  Tongue Tongue Tongue
