BMW 5 series 1.8 injection model engine, manual g/box, radiator and some electrical bits/ECU? This was taken from a "daily driver" for a trike project. After a long hard think about it I realise Im not up to it, as its too big/heavy for me to lump around the workshop. I need something lighter and would ideally swap for reliant engine/box.

I was in our local car scrappy the other day with a mate looking for bits for his diesel bike project, and the guy behind the counter told him that a lot of engines are going straight to the old east block countries.
They said that any good Puegeot/VW/BMW lumps are going for approx £120. Obviously don't know what you paid for it but the scrappy might be an option.

Thanks RM. If I dont get a buyer I'll have a word with our scrappy.

...its being shipped out to....UGANDA. Thought it was scam at first and told the guy to pee of, a little while later he informed me that money was waiting in our local "Westen Union office" if I wanted to collect it. Did that and walked out with the cash, now waiting on his courier. Not even going to think about how much its cost him to have it collected & shipped it out there.
Now what can I spend the money on... Smiley

Really? That really does sound like a scam, especially the Western Union bit as that's the most commonly used one for fictitious sales, but if you've got the cash in your mitts, then congratulations mate.
I must have something in the shed I can sell you!  Grin

I dunno. The owner just said that every so often some blokes come around and snag all the decent lumps.
