Well, I've been having problems with one of the drive shafts and brake/wheel hub assembly.  Problems that have cost me considerable amounts of money with 2 so called trike experts sorting it out for me. I'm not able to do any mechanicy things myself.

Finally had enough and took it to B & I Trikes in Huddersfield (see www.VWTrikes.co.uk )

"Well" says the man (a laid back bloke called Tony), "I think the drive shaft is bent and it's put a strain on the wheel hub assembly".

This is gonna cost AGAIN I thought.

No, the quote came in very very very reasonable (but don't tell Tony).
"Right" says I, "get on with it".  So he does.
Whilst he's starting, I spies a nice looking Trike in production with a very very nice 1641cc VW Twin Carb set up.

"How much would it cost me to get rid of the 1300cc and up it to a 1641 with Twin Carbs" I asks.  He tells me, again very very reasonable.
"Right" says I, "get on with it".  So he does.

Then I spies a nice 3 spoke mag wheel for the front (mine has a ridiculously stupid MZ front wheel on).
"How much to replace the front wheel" says I.  He tells me, again very very reasonable.
"Right" says I, "get on with it".  So he does.

Well now all this work is nearly complete and every time I've called over to see the progress, I've added a few more little 'wants' to the list (moving Atilla the Huns footrest which she's never really been able to reach comfortably amongst other things).

The engine has been all sparkled up like a tart on a night out.

Suffice to say, it's nearly done and looking georgeous.  I'll post some piccies when it's all done and dusted.

Just need the British Summer to start now (ha ha ha ha ha ha)

Good to hear you are back on track and found someone you can rely on. Think summer has forgotten us this year.

Don't be silly, it has - that's why it's cold and rainy.

Good to hear you've found the elusive good guy mate. If you're happy to recommend him to others, bung his details in the Links for commercial purposes bit of the forum.
Oh, & can we have a write up on the new, improved tricycle please!

When it's all finished and running, I would gladly do a write up and recommendation (when I'm happy with the results).

It's the start of our Bike/Trike Rally Season, and I'll be doing some write ups of where we get to, what we do and how long we can do it for?Huh?

If you want some more write ups and input, drop onto www.Yorkshiretrikers.co.uk and ask Bob (President of YT) to give you some input, just let him know Two Showers sent you and he'll give you lots of support

Thanks matey. Will do. We try to only use original material here so all contributions gratefully received.
Why not post the events you're going to in the Events list? Maybe we'll meet up with you at one this year.  Wink
