It has been a while, but I have finally decided what I am doing with my bits. VB gave me a lump & gearbox, and I cut up the spare Ural frame I had here. Its going to have leading links with a Suzi GS 850 back wheel fitted.

That's an interesting build. Have you got enough room in the frame to lift the rocker cover off to set the tappets? -I know from my own trike that it's easy to make it too tight!

You know I did'nt think of that. There is enough room to drop the whole engine down, but it seems a lot to have to do to set the tappets. Bummer!

I had another play this morning. I can gain a few inches by moving the engine foward a bit. Also tried it with the Ural front wheel.

If I can get in there with the disc cutter I will take some metal out from under the join where the arrow is.

Don't forget you need room for a fan & radiator too!

This morning I was having a look at the axle mounts, and also found room to prop a scabby old rad in to see if it fitted. Loads of room in there and the water pipes almost line up.

Been out again in the sun today, and did this. All the bits are tied together with string, but it gives me an idea where everything will go. There will be big ball bearing sets at all points to keep it on the right track.

I'd just like to point out that MMMotors doesn't condone the use of string as an alternative to welding. Try Gaffer tape.
