Yeah I agree with Andy, much better to trike it and get some use out of it than leave it dry stored. Just about as soon as bikes came about they have been modified to what the owners want so it's traditional to change it

trike it, trike it.. I still plan to build my own Panther trike one day but I will be using Ford Y 17inch wires on mine, I have most of the parts sitting in the barn Like Manky I'm moving away from pure custom stuff and more into the vintage special era, I have gone from being a Hotrod fan when I started my Pop build to someone who appreciates more the pre-war brooklands specials both 2 and 4 wheel. I don't see any choppers or anymore Hotrods in my future but can see a servi-car style Panther trike, brooklands era motorcycle racer replica and an open wheeled 30's style racer based on an old brit chassis and 2 seater boat tail body ... vive la difference

Shaun, you're slipping dangerously close to old man/flat cap/classic car restorer territory mate. There's an Austin 7 with a tuned Morris Minor engine in it on Ebay at the moment. Ebay Austin

Haha mate been called worse never will I restore something unless its as rare as hens teeth, but even then I would tweak it... I guess I have just been drawn in by the shed builders from this side of the pond.. I just plan to build my around the most unlikely doners going

As I get older, (& have more builds behind me), I find I'm more interested in intricate details. True craftsmanship, rather than just an overall look. I appreciate a well built machine far more than I did in my shallow youth.
