ello i have a VT 500 trike an i am in the process of converting to 1 in. ape hangers, the VT uses twin throttle cables( push pull).I am having difficulty in finding a twin cable 1 in.twist grip so i thought of converting to a single cable using a return spring  Anyone got any ideas

Later Harley ones are 1" / twin cable and there are plenty of aftermarket ones to chose from. Or you can reduce the handle bars down at ends and use the stock controls.
I am unfamiliar with carb setup on VT500 but I thought most twin cable carbs have return springs anyway.

I went into a cycle shop and bought inner and outer brake cable and soldered my own ends think it cost about 6 quid
