Quote For Sale 1965 VW Squareback (Type 3 Variant) Type S. Imported from Australia in 2009. I am the first registered uk owner and the car has done just over 66000 miles on its original engine. Coming from across the pond the car is solid with none of the usual VW rust issues. This was VW first 100 mph car running a 1500 engine with twin solex carbs. The car is mostly original and the same as it left the factory all those years ago apart from the following. car converted to 12 v from 6 and will be fitted with elctronic ignition next week. New sun visors. New exterior chrome trim. Flat 4 GTV wood rim steering wheel which will come with the car. All original parts have been kept. Car has been lowered allround with all new tyres having only covered 500 miles since. The car is 45 years old and the interior does show its age exterior bodywork is good. Car is ideal as is or could be taken back to stock or modified. You either get the whole VW thing or not if you do you will understand that this is a very rare car being a right hand drive type s model. Similar cars can be seen on Coolcampers website.
