Title: Cogs and teeth!! Post by: Clive on April 22, 2010, 01:16:13 PM Time for a 'resident thicky' question again!!! :D :D
How will increasing the number of teeth on the rear sprocket by two, and decreasing the number of teeth on a front sprocket by one affect performance? Thanks in advance Clive Title: Re: Cogs and teeth!! Post by: triker_Chewie on April 22, 2010, 01:29:24 PM calculate the ratios!!!!!
provide sprocket sizes!!!!!!!!! Title: Re: Cogs and teeth!! Post by: tbone on April 22, 2010, 01:33:29 PM http://www.qddev.com/demos/sprockets/sprocketratios2.shtml
Generaly you want to increase the front and reduce the rear to improve top speed, depends what your looking to do. use the link to enter the details clive ;) Title: Re: Cogs and teeth!! Post by: Clive on April 22, 2010, 06:00:21 PM Cheers for those answers, but I only need a generalisation. More acceleration, or higher speed, that sort of thing!
