Title: 'bike brake pads ........
Post by: ROD on May 04, 2009, 11:25:15 AM
Can someone give me some idea of the dimensions of motorbike brake pads? Ive found some metro (I think)in Halfrauds that are approx 3"x2"x10mm thick, are bike ones generally thinner? Not worried about the 3x2 cos I can cut them down ,but the thickness?...............hatching a plan..............
Unfortunately our local very helpful motorbike shop has closed down ,so cant ask there!

Do you know what front end you are using? This will determine what pads you need, there are so many different shapes and thicknesses available, once you know what make and model the front end and brakes are from I would try M&D's if they are still going.

Hi This isnt for the front ! Im attempting to build a cable operated caliper to use on a disc mounted on the prop shaft.will have to find a local motorcycle shop to see what theyve got.
