Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: BikerGran on February 13, 2008, 08:40:15 PM Erm - did you mean changing the seat Tazet - or is he going to ride it standing up?
;) Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: Dave_postie on February 14, 2008, 08:59:46 AM hoping to use a small pad type seat with a flat bobber style rear mudgaurd, the rear light will then move down with the numberplate. looking for some yokes to put the fork rake back to normal and have smaller risers with the wide bars, then every bracket and part that dosent need to be there will go, less is best. ;D looking to get a bobber style hack without going silly in the money department. keep thinking of black with some pinstripes but spray cans are cheaper.
BikerGran...... i could ride with no seat.. with my arse no one would be any the wiser. ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: Manky Monkey on February 14, 2008, 11:52:09 AM Something like these Dave, but with wide flat bars?

Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: dracken1 on February 17, 2008, 10:16:47 PM it that a tolle type front end or just raked yokes?
Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: Manky Monkey on February 17, 2008, 10:55:46 PM On Dave's? Raked aftermarket yokes. He's looking for a standard set to return it to normal if you know of some.
Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: Dave_postie on February 18, 2008, 03:48:45 PM hi Draken, there raked yokes, bit knackered when you get up close, bottom yoke pinch bolts holes have had it.trying to find a standard set or i ll have to have a set made with standard rake. also need the chrome airfilter cover, dont want to spend wads on it as its a runneround.
Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: Dave_postie on March 11, 2008, 08:21:48 PM well, ive been busy today, cut all the lugs off the back of the frame and cut the mudgaurd to fit. being a mono shock i couldn t carry the mudgaurd any further round, i ve ordered seat springs and bracket so its just mocked up for now. also have a sparto rear light on order. im seriously thinking of a hand shift with foot clutch,i held the 8 ball gear knob near the tank to see what it looked like.
Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: tazet on March 11, 2008, 09:01:50 PM That looks better Dave ;D

Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: Dave_postie on March 12, 2008, 04:25:18 PM thats beautifull, my kind of bike, im trying to get that look for a lot less money. ;D got my sparto rear light this morning so the numberplate is staying on the side. anyone know if it has to be on a certain side. its on the pavement side at the mo. im going to substitute the rear shock for a solid bar as the springy seat is enough bouncing for me. just need some standard yokes and nice wide bars.
Title: Re: Dave postie's new bike project Post by: panthershaun on March 12, 2008, 08:21:31 PM Bobcat has a sparto rear light and the number plate sits under it quite nicely, at an illegal angle I know and without a little white light but hey ;)
