Title: Kawazaki Forks ID
Post by: topconker on July 01, 2012, 05:02:02 PM
Can anyone help with an identity problem?
I've got a set of Kawazaki forks fitted to my trike and the speedo drive has snapped.
Problem I have is I've no idea what the model of the forks are. The only clue maybe is I've found some ID on the wheel:

J18XMT2.15DOT on one of the 3 spokes and :

F - 1138 on another.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
TC

So is this the cable snapped? Or the drive broken?

Could be forks from a gpz1000rx or the gtr1000....both share the same wheels and speedo drive.

In Topconkers pictures, both forks have caliper mounting brackets although clearly only a single disc is being used ...I stand by what I posted yesterday

Mine did have twin discs and calipers, but I removed the right side ones as didn't need them.

Yeah...I got gpz1000rx forks on my build and forgot about the anti-dive unit on the forks.....but the speedo drive looks the same.
