I had exactly the same one too, except mine had a huge blob of gas-weld in the centre of the steering wheel where my dad's mate had repaired it. I definitely blame that car for a lifetime's love of everything auto-american

Was lucky enough to see the unveiling of Hans Stuck's father's type C shown in the video, and then hear the real-deal....... just happened to be in the right place at the right time I guess.

Here's a vid relating to the building of the real car (in German...), but the shots and the engineering speak for themselves. Appx 5 mins 30 is when the engine gets fired up... around 500+BHP on then ther skinny tyres... wow
