Hmmm, can't see why not. Providing that the vehicle still complies with construction and use regs-. mudguards etc. and also  with vehicle lighting regs. Might get extra attention from the constabulary though and if involved in an accident the insurance company may get difficult.

Wouldn't take much to roll some ali sheet & make up some temporary brackets Chris. I drove my Moggy Minor pick-up with just the cab & bare chassis for a couple of years.

Why not invest in some 'cheap and cheerful' trailer guards, you'll get a pair for £20, and fix your lights etc. to them, then there's no timescale pressures.........Morrag

Truck/lorry mudguards for about £50 a pair on ebay . Might be cheaper to roll your own and put rubber edging on. You can always recycle the steel later on the Moggy or S10.

10" trailer guards!!! That's awesome!! may have a lorry one in the garden thinking about it.
But as long as the wheels are covered and there's lights and number plate in good to go
