Is there such thing? Running the chevy with just headers at the moment to try and see if it cures a rattle but gotta run it for abit with out any more of the exhaust fitted. Haw would mister happy feel about it

My Pop had to be 101db or less to pass the SVA test.
2 silencers, (under the cab), registered 106db on the meter.
Adding 2 more silencers at the back brought it down to 95.5db I think.

The Police test to something like 85db! It's total b/s as they just whip out a sound meter and wave it around near the exhaust , no set height /angle etc as required for testing . My mates 50e pick up passed SVA with about 106 at tickover but 95 at the required revs.
