27 body is around 2" wider than a 23 to start with Andy. Antons runs 100" wheelbase but w-i-d-e axles. My old POS was 98" ( standard T ) with Cortina axle (52") plus 1" spacers and 6j on rear with a full width B body Thta's around 8" wider than a 23T body. Bring a tape measure and check out the width on my 23 tomorrow ?

Just pushing ideas around Kev, (the cheap part of the build). We'll be running standard Pop wheels, so very little offset. Neither of us are keen on using spacers if we can help it, more for aesthetics than anything else. See you tomorrow.

You'll need to restud your axles anyway ,using Pop wheels you'll need adapters as they have a very wide spacing , almost, but not quite, the same at 5 stud Beetle. Before you get too far into it remember you'll also need tyres marked as capable of the vehicle top speed as well. Could be that Beetle rims may be the better option as wider range of tyres available in 15"?
Tall 15" tyres will give you the same height as Pop tyres as well

We'll be making flat plate wheel adaptors Kev, the same as my brother did for the boat tailed special he's building. He used discs of 6mm steel plate drilled for the Reliant axle studs in the middle of the discs & the Pop wheels around the outside. One of Loony's mates works in a fabrication shop & has provided some slabs of 8mm plate, so we'll be using those. Pop hubcaps would hide the adaptors. Mr Stnkey, we're still collecting parts at the moment, but my brother's a dragster builder & has a couple of weeks in April when we could use his facilities & expertise to put a chassis together.

been looking at some of the roadsters photographed @ wheelsday... plenty of examples of how NOT to build one also there is a 27t roadster on a Pop chassis in this month's CC, at 90 inches the wheelbase look's all wrong to me.. very snub nosed.... not such a problem with a modified as you have no turtle deck but at a guess the wheelbase of the old Jago's looks about right.... no idea how much that is though......

I built a 23T with a 90" wheelbase a la Roths TweetyPie . You have to keep the length in the front but pull the rear axle forward. Got a photo here but no idea how to post it, anyone able to do it for me please?
