Have you tried these folks-
http://antiquedodgeparts.com/bodyparts.htm
They don't list a lock assembly for the 58 but they might know if the rotor is the same as the 55-56.

A stepside pickup would look tough and be fairly easy to do. Easier would be a stake side, or drop side flat bed. The Dodge "sweptside" always looks odd to me and would be hardest to get right.

not keen on ,sweptside or ,,styleside, bodies,
i was thinking about a stepside a bit along the lines of ,EMILY,S, but the proportions just dont seam to work out , Roll Eyes
so i think it,ll be a stake bed designed by me like no other one ever built  Wink Wink Wink

bit more done ,, lift pump stripped rebuilt/refitted and working (some body had fitted a ,leccy, one and bypassed it ) running boards/steps removed  (dont yet know if i,ll refit or reuse them)
exhaust downpipe refurbed and new flexi, welded on ready for the rest of the system
inner wing liners removed  all/every bolt was a bar-steward  Roll Eyes == took for ever  complete with wrapped knuckles  and workin on her was hard today as weve had gale force winds blowing dust and cr#p about and acctually rocking the truck whilst up on axle stands .
so a bit of slow progress  but progress none the less,,
