Hi i have a fiat doblo 1910d cargo. it miss fires on tick over.i have noticed that one of the injectors is wet between the injector and head and that there are air bubble coming out. what i want to know is should there be a copper washer between the injector and metal seal.ever since i have owned this van it has allways struggled to pass the mot on diesel emissions.the first three photos are what came of the engine

got to be the problem there geezer. has to be an airtight seal on the whole of the fuel system or the engine sucks air and will misfire. looks like some dickwad has left off the sealing washer. It may be just a copper washer or it may be a copper/asbestos sandwich affair. Best to go to a decent car spares shop and get em to let you look at the exploded diagrams to see if something is missing. It may be a tapered thread, like some spark plugs, but I would have thought that unlikely.
