I can see the work thats gone into it.....also the amount of steel !!! Steve, have you any idea of the weight its gonna come out at? Have you logged what m2 of steel has gone/is going to be used? I'm not knocking you, it's a great machine, just curious  :)

yep I've got a good idea, as I had to cut it all up  ;D....as I said in the thread it is never gonna win world speed records, the main concern was strength as my son will be bolted into it with a full harness.....he has had major spinal surgery. It is a lot smaller than the pics suggest and there will be some major performance enhancements going into the motor at a later date, I am quite looking forward to trying it out as it is very low and should be fun to throw about, I don't know what a standard reliant weighs but it is bound to be a good bit more than this is heading for...there will be a full write up in the Mag when done so I ain't giving away too much yet  ;)

sadly no. I got distracted by ill health over the winter and now we just took on a smallholding and are rushed off our feet with that...not to mention building a big new shed on the land and searching for, collecting and servicing/repairing rotovators, trusty tractor, ride on mower etc and then pulling up a paddock and setting plants, oh, and putting up poly tunnels.....normality will hopefully resume soon ish

 ;D
When we packed away our belongings after the Basingstoke transport show at the weekend, Flap & Dave, (Lunatic's Dad), spent a happy half hour playing silly buggers around the field on their trikes -Flap wheel spinning sideways round & round in circles, accompanied by Dave pulling wheelies on the VW.
The parade of idiots as someone christened it.  :P

I remember when I went on holiday to the tiny Greek island of Paxos back in '84, there were quite a lot of rotavators being used as power units for 'trikes' carrying people and farm produce!

it's all the pigeon s**t that's got me worried  ;D....I will get it clad as soon as we get a bit of free time...already had the box profile....it is primarily for all the stuff we use on the land....rotorvator, ride on etc as well as animal feed etc, but it will also help ease the storage situation at the house and give me a bit of elbow room to sort out the new workshop...foundations dug 3 years ago  ::) ::)
