To decant Acetylene correctly you need to have the "feeder" bottle upside down and above the the empty one, this is because it`s disolved in a liquid and the liquid won`t transfer under pressure alone.

What is being discussed here is potentially EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, so for those who have not done so , leave it well alone!!, for those that have, well you should have more sense that to discuss the subject on an open forum, be warned people, as I have also seen the results of such actions "going wrong""................... Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Morrag

i only wanted to get shut of a set thats in the way.
feel like im sat on a UXB now.
seem to recall making cetlin bombs years ago,    tied a string covered in thinners to a pop bottle filled with accetlin and oxygen then light n run. could never find a remenant, once had the law round checking out the explosions in the area. was very loud.
 as morrag says,  very dangerous
