Took a trip up to Amberley Museum in Sussex this morning for the Auto Jumble and a look round the exhibits on show, a very interesting place with all sorts of collections workings and hands on displays, and while we were there mid morning, who should turn up  Roll Eyes the SSR Rod run, good to see you Neil G, Deadly Derek and have a chat, more than I can say for you Phunkie highboy who completely snub me Cry that's life.

Rick, I'm really sorry for that. Not my intention to snub anyone, just not good with faces sometimes.

You couldn't miss Rick in his Manky Monkey T Shirt and his Manky Monkey embroidered shirt which also has Chevy Rick embroidered on it!

He was really flying the flag for MMM. You better watch out Andy or he might start charging.  Cool

Grin Rick's our MMMotors pin-up boy  Kiss
I wasn't on the SSR run yesterday, but I did get to see everyone before they set off.
The start point for the Picnic run was Newlands Corner in Surrey, a carpark & cafe with fantastic views out over the Surrey downs. It's a favourite with dog walkers, mountain bikers & horse riders, as well as bikers & classic car buffs, so is always busy on Sunday mornings. It also happens to be about half a mile from where Taz & I live.
Paul, (GoForest), had some bulb holders for my truck project, so I nipped up to collect them enroute to the workshop. I was literally just passing through, but ended up staying to see the chaps off. A gloriously warm Autumnal morning with not a cloud in the sky -perfect for a drive out.
If I hadn't made it in time, GoForest was going to pass the bits to Chris, (Phunkie Hiboy). "Good job you're here -saves me having to look for Phunkie" said paul. "I'm here!" said Chris, stood right next to him. We all know each other well here on the screen, but I often forget that most haven't met each other in person.
A few snaps:
Whiff's woodie.

By 9.0.clock in the morning the sun was already blazing, leading some to seek shelter under the trees.

Forum member & SSR member Deadly Derek's Diamond T truck. He & Mrs Derek provided the afternoon meal from their mobile burger emporium.

Doesn't show in the photos, but the ground drops steeply away from the carpark, down a rolling grassy slope & away into the misty distance.

I'm pretty sure the guy in this Jag, (D type replica?), wasn't actually there for the run, but ended up tagging along anyway.
