 in the mid-late 70s BL had a 16 valve twin cam head based on the sprint slanted 4 engine and a new dolomite hatchback on the drawing board it was called the SD2 but all the money had been taken up by the rover sd1 so the Honda Accord was re-badged as a Triumph instead makes you cringe .Look for a site called aronline its a history of BMC BL Austin Rover and MG/Rover and is littered with missed oppertunities |
